Biaggi’s Ristorante Italiano is a chain of nice, yet casual, Italian restaurants that offer soup, salad, pasta, seafood, steak, pizza, and dessert. I dined at their restaurant in Carmel’s Clay Terrace outdoor mall, and I was impressed by how they classed-up the interior from the bars that were in its location previously. I was with a group who all seemed to enjoy their food, and, while my pizza wasn’t bad, I came away with the impression that it is not the best item on their menu. My sausage pizza had a thin, slightly charred crust that was just okay. I actually didn’t eat most of the edges of it as the flavorful Italian sausage was my favorite part of the pizza. It was fairly light on sauce and cheese being that it was a flatbread-style pizza. All in all, Biaggi’s offers a nice dining experience, but I would probably recommend trying other menu items over their pizza.
