La Tana dell’Arte Review | Naples, Italy

I had incredibly high expectations for trying a margherita pizza in its birthplace of Naples, Italy, and the pizza I ate at La Tana dell’Arte Pizzera somehow managed to meet them.  Every element of the pizza was excellent.  The crust was probably one of the best I have ever tasted as it was fairly thin yet soft and chewy.  It tasted like good bread along the edges which made me enjoy the crust as opposed to merely accepting it as a necessisty to hold on to the pizza.  The next layer, the tomato sauce and olive oil, were delicious and fresh.  The mozzarella cheese that covered less of the pizza than we typically see in America was very good and actually somewhat thick in the areas of the pizza that contained it.  Plus, the tomato sauce was so tasty, I didn’t miss the cheese on bites that did not contain it.  I really enjoyed my margherita pizza at La Tana dell’Arte in Naples, and I was extremely impressed by how well it represented the city famous for creating this dish.
