Moon Dog Tavern Review | Indianapolis, IN

Moon Dog Tavern is a bar in the northside of Indianapolis that often features live music.  They offer a broad menu that includes appetizers, sandwichs, wraps, salads, and burgers.  I obviously had to try their pizza though, and I was pretty impressed with it considering it came from a bar kitchen that offers such a wide range of food.  Their pizzas come in thin or traditional crust, and I went with tradition per the recommendation of our waitress.  The traditional crust was good as it was not too thick and, therefore, still allowed you to taste all of the other flavors the pizza had to offer.  My favorite things about the pizza were the nice and greasy cheese as well as the somewhat spicy pepperoni.  While I am intrigued by the rest of what Moon Dog Tavern has to offer, I may not ever stray from the pizza as it is certainly worth having again.  The possible negative to this restaurant is that it is currently a smoking bar.  Still, if you want some good food and beer during some live music or a sports game (they have plenty of televisions), Moon Dog Tavern in Indianapolis would be a great place to go.
