Greek’s Pizzeria | Carmel, IN

Greek’s Pizzeria makes good pizza with a delicious garlic butter crust. I also really enjoyed their garlic breadsticks (you may be picking up on the fact that a garlic theme wins over my tastebuds). I visited the Broad Ripple location which, unfortunately, has since closed, but I believe Greek’s started in Muncie. They also have locations in Evansville, Fishers, and southern Indianapolis. Despite the name, Greek’s Pizzeria serves a lot of other food as well including salads, sandwiches, and pasta. However, their pizza is tasty enough that I will probably never know anything about those options.

5/9/2014 Update – Despite the closing of the Broad Ripple location, Greek’s has been expanding to many other areas.  I recently carried out from their fairly new restaurant in downtown Carmel, and I still found the pizza to be pretty tasty.  The only problem was that the crust didn’t seem to have as much garlic butter as I remembered.  It only had a little flavor and seemed kind of doughy.  In fact, I felt as though it could have used some dipping sauce, but maybe I just caught them on an off day.  Overall, I still enjoyed the Greek’s Pizzeria in Carmel and would be open to eating their pizza again.

Greeks did start in Muncie and it is a staple of the Ball State bar scene. It is located in “The Village” next to all of the student bars. They have an awesome late night, outdoor, pizza stand where you can buy by the slice until 2:00 a.m.!

Unfortunately, the Broad Ripple location you described closed March 30, 2011. There IS still a Greek’s Pizzeria on the southside of Indy at Emerson & Stop 11 Rd., and (hopefully) one in downtown Indianapolis on Washington & Pennsylvania opening November 2011.

Tonight was pizza night, but we wanted to try something different so I came to your blog and ultimately decided to try this out based on your review. We went to the Zionsville location and I have to say it was one of the best pizzas I have ever had. Full disclaimer – I am not a huge pizza fan – but I am totally heating up the leftovers right now; it was that good. We got the Greeks Special and the kids shared a Cheese. I think we all devoured the bread sticks too.

Great place – thanks for the recommendation!
