Zionsville Pizzeria was previously known as Zionsville Pizza Delivery, and they have since grown to offer a sit down restaurant along with delivery. Zionsville Pizzeria is in quaint downtown Zionsville, and it is a great example of a hometown pizzeria as the owners grew up in Zionsville and have raised their children there. Its location combined with the option to eat outside makes it an ideal spot to enjoy pizza during nice weather. We started our meal with their breadsticks that come basted in garlic butter and sprinkled with a cheese blend, and we doubled up on the garlic butter by adding it as a dipping sauce because we had heard rumors of their tasty garlic before visiting Zionsville Pizzeria.
After enjoying our breadsticks, we ordered a hand tossed pepperoni pizza as well as a thin crust sausage pizza with their famous garlic sauce replacing the standard marinara. I enjoyed the pepperoni pizza as their hand tossed crust was nice and airy, but I think the sausage and garlic pizza was the better of the two options. The amazing thing about the sausage and garlic pizza is that the flavor of the sausage actually stood out to me even more than the garlic, and I greatly enjoy garlic. They add their own blend of oils and spices to the sausage to really take it up a notch. Zionsville Pizzeria also offers a lunchtime buffet and many other items besides pizza, and I definitely recommend them if you find yourself hungry while enjoying downtown Zionsville.
