Lou Malnati’s is one of Chicago’s well-known pizzerias, and therefore I greatly enjoyed the opportunity to be able to dine at its Lincoln Park location. Lou Malnati’s first opened its doors in Lincolnwood in 1971, and they now have thirty-two locations across the Chicagoland area. I obviously had to have a Chicago-syle deep dish pizza, although they do offer thin crust pizza as well as soups, salads, pasta, and sandwiches. I elected to have extra cheese and sausage on their buttercrust. Locals told me that the buttercrust was a must, and, after polishing off my two extremely filling slices, I am certain they steered me in the right direction. Sometimes I won’t eat the crust on deep dish pizza so that I can save room for a potential extra slice, but that was not the case with this buttercrust. I also had the three-cheese bread which is pictured below it, and, while it was good, I recommend seriously contemplating your options since the pizza is so delicious and filling. Overall, I definitely agree with Lou Malnati’s being ranking as one of Chicago’s best pizzerias.
