Wise Pies serves New York-style pizza in Terre Haute, Indiana They’ll certainly make your choice of pizza from scratch, but I took advantage of their premade pizza by-the-slice option. If I had more time, I wouldn’t have done this because I’ve seen the reheating of these slices negatively affect the consistency of the crust at many other places. However, I was happy with how the crust remained fairly soft and somewhat chewy on my pepperoni and carnivore (ham, sausage, and pepperoni) slices from Wise Pies. The sauce was pretty good and the cheese was okay, but there was not a lot of either of them on the pizza. The best part of both slices was probably the flavorful meat.
Wise Pies Pizza & Subs has a couple locations in Terre Haute, and I went to the downtown one – close to Indiana State University’s campus. This location has a fair amount of room to eat in (a separate room from the ordering area pictured below), and they do offer some bottled beer as well. I don’t believe they offer delivery, but it is worth trying carryout or dine-in at Wise Pies.
