Betta’s Italian Oven is a popular restaurant in the Cincinnati area just outside of Xavier University’s campus. Betta’s is family owned and operated and strives to mimic the finest pizzerias of Napoli using their wood-fired oven for traditional Italian pizzas. I started with their bruschetta (pictured below), which I really enjoyed and would recommend. For my pizza selection, I chose the margherita. I certainly liked the pizza, but I would also be interested in sampling additional pizzas if I am able to have a return visit. The crust and tomato sauce were very good as Betta’s Italian Oven in Norwood, OH makes their dough and sauces daily. However, I think I would recommend trying a pizza with more toppings to add even more flavor. Their margherita pizza did include garlic, which I thought would be a nice addition, but I couldn’t taste it too much. Admittedly, my garlic preference is probably higher than ninety-nine percent of Americans (I have never had an issue with vampires though). You can also get other Italian dishes besides pizza at Betta’s Italian Oven, and I think it is worth a visit if you are ever in the area.
