Giovanni’s Pizza has been voted Santa Barbara’s best pizza several years, and I do agree that they serve pretty good pizza with an average thickness crust and good sausage. They have a variety of food on their menu that also includes salads, calzones, pasta, and oven-baked sub sandwiches. The inside of the restaurant has an interesting feel as it is almost a cross between an Italian restaurant and sports bar that even includes a game room for kids. Giovanni’s is located on the corner of Meigs Road and Cliff Drive, not far from the coast. It is right next to Mesa Pizza Company, and I would say that Giovanni’s wins this local pizza battle in a squeaker.
