Grimaldi’s Pizzeria serves great coal-fired pies. Their pizza is nice and greasy, and it has the softest crust of any coal oven pizza I have ever eaten. The pizza I ate had enough cheese and delicious little pepperonis. I was with someone who also enjoyed the pesto pizza, and it is pictured below. Grimaldi’s Pizzeria started in New York, and the franchise has been around for over one hundred years. The location I visited was in Old Town Scottsdale, which is a very nice touristy area of the city. I personally would love to eat at one of their New York locations, but I recommend eating at any of the Grimaldi’s Pizzerias, whether it be in New York, New Jersey, Florida, Texas, Nevada, or Arizona.

My fiance introduced me to Grimaldi’s. We frequent the Old Town Scottsdale restaurant and love the Margherita Pizza, basil, fresh tomatoes, garlic and cheese. We add lots of fresh grated parmesan cheese. I also love their House Salad, always fresh and crispy, full of goodies and great Italian dressing. I don’t agree that the pizza is greasy – far from it – love the thin crust and the sauce. Guess if you order pepperoni and sausage it might be a little greasy! You can order your pizza anyway you want it – they are there to please!
This one is an easy one…THE BEST…GRIMALDI’S IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST.
I have visited the original Grimaldi’s in Brooklyn. That is the real Naples pizza brought to Scottsdale. I personally like thin crust, I’m not a fan of Chicago typed pizza. I grew up in Brooklyn and that is where pizza is “Bene”
I met the owner Joe Ciolli in Scottsdale and he was the essence of a real Italian and what HE wants Italian pizza to be. Fresh ingredients and with a great taste make up this pizza to me as the best. THIS IS WHY I GO TO GRIMALDI’S FOR NOT JUST PIZZA BUT ALL I HAVE EATEN THERE IS Molto Bene!!
