Odeon Cafe is just a couple blocks north of DuPont Circle in Washinton, D.C., and I honestly wasn’t expecting too much from their pizza as they looked to be somewhat of a more upscale Italian restaurant. However, their pizza bianca, which consisted of fontina cheese, oregano, garlic, and extra virgin olive oil, was a delicious and welcome surprise. I have to admit that I am a sucker for garlic and the healthy portions of it certainly won me over. However, I also found that this pizza offered plenty of cheese and a thin, soft crust. They also offer antipasta, insalata, pasta, and secondi. I’m not sure what all of that means as it is just how their menu is divided, but I am just trying to point out that they have more than pizza. While there are certainly numerous restaurant offerings in this area of the city, I think Odeon Cafe is a great place to go if you are looking for a somewhat unique and tasty pizza.
