Southend Brewery is a nice microbrewery and restaurant in dowtown Charleston just one block from the harbor. Their menu is full of appetizing lowcountry American cuisine beyond the pizza, and, while I would have loved to try some of their other food as well, the pizza was very good. Their pizza dough is made daily with their fresh-brewed ale, and all of the toppings tasted very fresh as well. Southend Brewery and Smokehouse is located in the historic Wagener Building just blocks away from Rainbow Row, so it is certainly a great place to stop for good beer and food while taking in the sites of Charleston.
