Mellow Mushroom is an interestingly themed restaurant that offers a fair amount of specialty pizzas as well as numerous different topping options for customers to build their own creations. I enjoyed their crust as they have some seasoning on it that tasted like garlic butter and parmesan to me (whatever it was added some nice flavor). They also offer calzones, hoagies, salads, and appetizers. Plus, Mellow Mushroom has a good selection of draft beer.
On a second trip to the Carmel location I found out they have a lunch special for the slice of the day, salad, and a drink for $6.50, and they allowed me to substitute the salad for a second slice with only a small upcharge. The slices are certainly a good size as you can see in the picture below…
