If I had to describe Picco in one word, it would be “trendy”. They offer an interesting spin on pizza in a cozy bar setting that almost has an up-scale feel to it. They offer many local craft beers and have a large wine selection. We enjoyed our food at a dimly lit bar while listening to jazz music amongst a young urban crowd. It was a Friday night and the restaurant was very busy. We enjoyed some appetizers, including an interesting pumpkin soup. My guests and I ordered three personal size pizzas. One was a traditional margarita, one was a pepperoni, and the third was rather unique, a beef short rib with gorgonzola cheese. All three pizzas were very tasty; although the beef short rib was so rich I could only handle one piece. The crust was light and airy on all three pizzas and I would have to say the pepperoni was my favorite (very salty and delicious). It is a little fancy if you are looking to pick up a quick slice but worth visiting for their unique spin on pizza.
