Macaroni Grill Review | Carmel, IN

Romano’s Macaroni Grill is an Italian restaurant chain with locations throughout most of the United States, and I dined at the one in Carmel, Indiana. Like many Italian restaurants, Macaroni Grill starts you out with very good fresh bread and olive oil. We followed that up with their Mac & Cheese Bites appetizer which consisted of fried chunks of macaroni and cheese. This appetizer was very good but only included about six bites total. I then tried their “Primo Pepperoni Pizza” which was a very thin pizza that was okay but didn’t pack too much flavor beyond the large pepperoni. Several years back I had tried their Italian sausage pizza as well, and I must warn that it is made with very spicy sausage. Overall, their pizzas are okay, but I think Macaroni Grill likely offers better choices on their menu which includes salads, pasta, tapas, antipasta, and other entrées.
